Rescue Diver
This is the class where the diver learns to turn the attention to other divers. The class teaches different rescue techniques for both the surface and the underwater environment. Involves one evening in the classroom for academics, one day in pool for skills development and one day at Lake Pleasant for scenarios. The class covers scenarios ranging from the tired divers to the unconscious, submerged diver who requires resuscitation and removal from the water. You will need to hold a current completion card in CPR from Emergency First Response, or another nationally recognized organization.
Prerequisites have changed. Effective immediately you no longer required to have the PADI Advanced certification (or equivalent) to enroll in the PADI Rescue program. The new prerequisite is that the student must be certified as a PADI Adventure Diver that has completed the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive or have a qualifying certification from another training organization.
